Our Story
Mind and Motion Alliance (MAMA) was born from personal experiences with the profound effects of neurological and cognitive disorders. It began when our founders recognized the urgent need for a support network for individuals and families grappling with conditions like Stroke, Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and Parkinson’s. For us, the mission is deeply personal: a board member is a stroke survivor, having faced the overwhelming journey of recovery with resilience, and whose mother lost her fight to the complex, heartbreaking reality of Dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s.
These experiences have opened our eyes to the isolating challenges that caregivers and families face, from finding trustworthy information and compassionate care to navigating a journey filled with ups and downs. Through MAMA, we aim to create an alliance of strength, empathy, and unwavering support, where no one feels alone or without hope.
Our story is one of perseverance and empathy, inspired by those who face these conditions daily and the families who walk beside them. At MAMA, we’re committed to building a compassionate community, spreading awareness, and funding research that brings us closer to understanding, preventing, and ultimately overcoming these disorders. With every educational workshop, support group, and advocacy effort, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected, standing as a source of strength and solidarity for anyone touched by these conditions.
